Any registered participants are eligible for scholarships! Dancers pick up a number Saturday morning before their first class. Auditioning is optional. You do not have to wear a number, but why not? We do not have a traditional closed audition. Instead, The PULSE faculty choose to reward dancers who catch their eye in classes, whether it’s recognizing technique, drive, style or enthusiasm. This process not only permits more class time, but also allows a controlled, creative, casual atmosphere. We ask that you wear your scholarship number throughout the entire weekend so each faculty can get the chance to see you during your class performance!

PULSE CONVENTION SCHOLARSHIP
Recipients are awarded free tuition to any one of our PULSE On Tour regional weekend workshops! This scholarship may be used at any one city on our 2010-2011 regional tour.

PULSE PROTÉGÉ
Recipients are awarded free tuition to each PULSE weekend for an entire year. Share the stage with our PULSE Faculty as an assistant to the faculty in ALL of our PULSE cities.

PULSE SUMMER 2010
Recipients are awarded free tuition to either one of our PULSE Summer workshops! This scholarship may be used in New York City or Los Angeles.

BROADWAY DANCE CENTER SCHOLARSHIP
Free classes to BDC in the heart of New York City! Broadway Dance Center offers over 50 classes a day in all levels and styles.

SPONSOR SCHOLARSHIP
Recipients receive free tuition to any one of our PULSE On Tour weekend workshops! This scholarship may be redeemed at any one city on our 2010-2011 regional tour.

PULSE INTENSIVE
This is an invitation to attend an intensive in NYC held during our PULSE Summer NYC event. Dancers will audition on their first day and be selected for a specific Intensive track. You will train in a more intimate class setting with one OR MORE of our faculty members. Each Intensive will perform a piece in the Final Night Gala.

NEW! TEACHER WORKSHOP NYC 2010
Recipients are awarded free tuition to our Teacher Workshop in NYC during the Summer of 2010.

THE PULSE ESSAY SCHOLARSHIP
The PULSE offers scholarships to those dancers who would benefit from attending our event, but are in need of financial assistance. If you or someone you know would love to attend The PULSE, but are unable to afford tuition costs, we extend to you the opportunity to apply for a free PULSE tuition in the city of your choice. We will choose one student for each of our cities on the 2009-2010 tour. Your scholarship application must be turned in at least 30 days prior to the event of your choice. Please write a 1,000+ word essay describing why you are the perfect candidate for the scholarship. Please indicate your special circumstances that creates financial need, long-range goals, volunteer or community involvement, educational or dance achievements, a look into your dance background and any additional comments. You must have two letters of recommendation. Please have at least one letter from your dance teacher or mentor.
