At The PULSE, we recognize great potential, great dancers and great choreography.
The PULSE Choreographers' Picks are chosen out of each Saturday night Performance Showcase by the faculty as representations of excellence in dance choreography. The Choreographers' Pick is one of the highest honors we give, and are announced on Sunday at the Scholarship Ceremony. We also award the year long title of 2009-2010 Choreographers' Pick during our summer events. This elite recognition entitles dancers to special benefits during the following year.
AS A REGIONAL CHOREOGRAPHERS' PICK
- You are invited to re-perform your piece for free at a PULSE Summer Event
- Each dancer will receive a partial Summer Scholarship to attend a PULSE Summer Event
AS THE 2009-2010 CHOREOGRAPHERS' PICK
- Your piece will be featured in the PULSE VIDEO INTRO that is played in every city on The PULSE tour for all of our participants and on youtube.com and other video hosting websites. The name of your piece, group, choreographer, and home town will be noted.
- Your piece will be highlighted on The PULSE website during the full 2010-2011 season.
- Each dancer in your group will receive a PULSE Convention Scholarship to a city of their choice (valued at $225 per person)
- Your group is invited to perform in your home city (or a city of your choice) as a Guest Performer with the recognition of being the 2010-2011Choreographer's Pick (with no performance fee)
